Almighty and merciful God, it is only by your gift of grace that we come into your presence and offer true and faithful

service.Grant that our worship on earth may always be pleasing to you, and in the life to come give us the fulfillment

of what you have promised; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and forever.

Altar Flowers

There will be no altar flowers this week.

Mystery Dinner

Save the Date of September 17th!  There will be a mystery dinner for adults only, the cost will be $6.00 per person.  The chefs will be Mike Chappell and Mike Sanisidro.  The dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Summer Sunday School for All Ages

Sunday School Open House- Sunday, August 29th at 9:00 am.  Parents and children are invited to breakfast and an informative gathering concerning Sunday school.  We have the potential of offering "Christian Day School Religion" in our Sunday school classes.  Come and see how you can make this happen for your kids, and the rest of our children here at Good Shepherd.  Sunday Bible Study & Sunday school classes - begin September 5th.  Regular Bible study and Sunday school classes begin at 9 am on this Labor Day weekend.  We're planning on two different classes for the adults (take your pick - watch for more info. about these classes in the near future).  Also planned, is Teen Bible Study on this third Sunday of the month (September 19th) also at 9am.

Thrivent "Choice Dollars"

Thrivent members should be aware of this new fraternal benefit (additional dollars for contributions and charity)  from the company.  Watch for a letter from Thrivent explaining how you can add to your charitable support.  Contact Rick & Terry Martens here at Good Shepherd for more information.
