Welcome to Good Shepherd.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey,
you are welcome and wanted here.
Who are we?
Good Shepherd is a community of faith formed by the heart of the Episcopal tradition.
We believe that all people were made in the image of God, that Jesus was the embodiment of Godβs love for us, and that in the end, good will triumph over evil, joy over despair, life over death.
Our community serves as a witness to history. We worship in a beautiful gothic nave completed in 1929. Our liturgies are from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. Our organ and choir lead us each week in music from the English choral tradition. Many of our families have worshiped and served here for generations.
We are committed to being a place where every person matters, a place where the image of God in every human being is recognized and celebrated. We take seriously the call to βcare alike for the young and the old, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak.β Part of that effort is ensuring LGBTQ+ people are welcomed and embraced at every level of church participation and leadership.
Good Shepherd is a church formed by over 150 years of connecting people to God and to each other. Ours is a historic faith, practiced together.
We are so glad you are here.
